The absolute best place in "fair Verona". Having Pietro and his team as host is an absolute treat. We have been treated, my friend and I, like family and we'll definitely be coming back as soon as possible. The meat is cooked to the perfect point and wine pairing is a masterpiece. Just go and enjoy and say hi to Pietro from the french girls ☺️
If you are not from Italy, don't go here.
This was undoubtedly my worst dish in Italy. Though the presentation was nice, you barely get any shrimp or asparagus for 16 euros. Also, it was overcooked. I was also not given bread and i think this is because i was a tourist. It was not busy, and i was seated alone, so it was obvious that i wasn't given bread and every other table had it. Save your money, because there are so many good places in Verona and this is not one!
A quiet and local Osteria with traditional Veronesian food and a place where locals meet as well.
The waiter was a very friendly old man and speaks some english. When ypu speak italien, he also becomes very talkative.
The piazza San Zeno is connected to the basilika with the same name, which makes for a great view and the small tables in front of the Osteria, close to an alley of trees, create a homely atmosphere.
Best restaurant in Verona, as someone who has lived here for 2 years I bring every guest I have here. Incredible service, incredibly kind staff. Wonderful food at the highest quality. Never been disappointed here and I can’t recommend it more, grazie mille
The best meal that we had in Verona. The bigoli with duck ragú was out of this world. Second course of steak was cooked perfectly and so flavourful. Service and ambience also 5/5...and all that at a very fair price. 100% will return.
Many different negative aspects:
- unfriendly waiters
- extra charge for the service (and it wasn't even good)
- extremely small portions
- last, but not least: They served a dessert which we didn't order so that we thought it's on the house. In the end they charged 7€ for a few tiny pieces of fruit.
Horrible experience and very disappointing. Passive aggressive service, tiny portions, hairs in the food and additional charged points on the bill. We didn't ordered desert and they served it to us anyway. Therefore it seemed to be a gift from the restaurant. However, the dessert was listed on the bill for 7 euro (for a tiny bowl of fruits).
Upscale restaurant but still affordable. Visited for Easter Sunday lunch and was fully booked. Food and wine was excellent. Has a focus on local Veronese foodstuffs. Service extremely efficient. Restaurant itself has enjoyable atmosphere set in a charming building.
